Rochester NY FC Academy cruised to a 4–1 victory over Buffalo Stallions in NPSL action on Tuesday, with G. Mata grabbing a brace and K. Pollard and K. Sarkodie adding a goal apiece. M. Voyer netted Buffalo's lone consolation.

The hosts took control early. After A. Burke picked up a yellow card for Buffalo in the 23rd minute, Rochester made the Stallions pay just four minutes later when Mata opened the scoring. The Academy stretched their lead before halftime through Pollard, who found the net in the 36th minute to send Rochester into the break up 2–0.

Buffalo came out with more urgency in the second half. Voyer pulled one back in the 57th minute to cut the deficit to 2–1, briefly giving the Stallions hope of a comeback. That hope lasted exactly five minutes. Mata struck again in the 62nd minute to restore Rochester's two-goal cushion
