Athletic Club Boise and Spokane Velocity FC shared the points in a 1–1 draw in USL League One action on Saturday, with Joe Gallardo opening the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute before Nick Moon equalized for Boise six minutes into the second half.

Spokane struck first through Gallardo, who found the net midway through the opening period to give Velocity the early advantage. The goal seemed to unsettle Boise, but it was Spokane who struggled with discipline in the aftermath. Andre Lewis was cautioned in the 29th minute, Nil Vinyals followed three minutes later, and Andrew Booth picked up a yellow in the 36th. Anuar Peláez made it four Spokane bookings before halftime when he was carded in the 44th minute. The visitors were fortunate to end the half with eleven men on the pitch.

Boise came out with more urgency after the break and were level within six minutes. Moon struck in the 51st minute to make it 1–1, pulling the home side back into the contest. The hosts pushed for a winner but couldn't find the breakthrough despite Spokane's card trouble continuing — Gagi Margvelashvili was booked in the 83rd minute and Mark Hernández in the 89th, bringing the visitors' yellow card tally to six on the night. Phillip Mayaka picked up Boise's lone booking in the 80th minute.

Spokane's persistent fouling ultimately went unpunished in a meaningful sense, as they held on for a road point despite collecting six cautions across 90 minutes. The draw leaves both Northwest sides still searching for a signature result early in the 2026 season.
