Tampa Bay Sun FC cruised to a 3–0 victory over Fort Lauderdale United FC on Saturday, with Sydny Nasello scoring twice and McKinley Crone adding a late third to seal a comfortable USL Super League win.

Nasello opened the scoring in the 12th minute, giving Tampa Bay an early advantage that set the tone for the rest of the match. Fort Lauderdale struggled to find a response, and the first half played out without the visitors seriously threatening an equalizer. Jordan Fusco picked up a yellow card for Tampa Bay in the 38th minute, but it did little to disrupt the home side's rhythm.

Fort Lauderdale came out for the second half needing a reaction. Instead, Kiara Locklear was booked just two minutes after the restart, and Tampa Bay continued to control proceedings. Nasello doubled the lead in the 58th minute, putting the result beyond reasonable doubt. The forward was herself cautioned in the 70th minute, but by then the damage was well and truly done.

Crone put the finishing touch on the performance in the 83rd minute, converting Tampa Bay's third to complete the rout. Fort Lauderdale offered little resistance in the closing stages as the match wound down without further incident.

It was a dominant display from start to finish for Tampa Bay Sun FC, who kept a clean sheet while punishing their in-state rivals at both ends of the half. The result strengthens their position in the USL Super League standings and extends what has been a difficult stretch for a Fort Lauderdale side searching for answers.
