FC Naples and Corpus Christi FC shared the points in a 2–2 draw in USL League One on Saturday, with late drama at both ends ensuring neither side could claim all three.

FC Naples struck early. Marc Torrellas opened the scoring just two minutes in, finishing from a Christopher Garcia delivery to give the hosts an ideal start. Corpus Christi steadied themselves and grew into the game, with Enock Kwakwa picking up a yellow card in the 20th minute as challenges intensified. The visitors found their equalizer before halftime when Tomas Pondeca converted from a Nacho Abeal pass in the 43rd minute, sending the teams into the break level.

The second half was a fractious affair. Nacho Abeal was booked in the 56th minute, Patrick Langlois followed in the 78th, and Jack Keaney joined them in the book in the 86th as Corpus Christi's discipline frayed. Two minutes later, FC Naples made them pay. Dominick Bachstein restored the home side's lead in the 88th minute, again fed by Garcia, who registered his second assist of the night. Bachstein himself was then cautioned in the 90th minute.

It looked like Naples had stolen it. They hadn't. Deep into stoppage time, Arthur Medina latched onto a Blake Bowen assist to snatch a dramatic equalizer for Corpus Christi in the 93rd minute, ensuring a share of the spoils.

The draw will feel like two points dropped for FC Naples after leading twice, while Corpus Christi's late resilience could prove a valuable point as the early-season table takes shape.
