Corpus Christi FC ground out a 1–0 victory over Richmond Kickers in USL League One action on Saturday, with Arthur Medina scoring the only goal of the game in the 73rd minute.

The first half produced no goals and little to separate the two sides. Corpus Christi picked up an early yellow card through Blake Bowen just seconds into the second half, and teammate Enock Kwakwa followed him into the referee's notebook in the 54th minute as the hosts struggled with discipline.

The breakthrough came with 17 minutes remaining. Bowen — already walking a disciplinary tightrope after his booking — delivered the key pass, and Medina finished to put Corpus Christi ahead. It was a moment of quality that the match had been lacking, and it proved decisive.

Richmond pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages but couldn't find a way through. Lucca Dourado picked up a yellow card in the 80th minute as the Kickers' frustration mounted. Corpus Christi goalkeeper James Talbot was also booked deep into stoppage time as the hosts saw out the result.

The narrow win gives Corpus Christi FC a valuable three points at home and keeps them moving in the right direction as the League One season heads deeper into the summer stretch.
