Lexington SC came from behind to defeat Carolina Ascent FC 3–1 in the USL Super League, with the match requiring extra time after a 1–1 draw through regulation. McKenzie Weinert, Regan Steigleder, and Addie McCain all found the net for Lexington, while Mia Corbin had given Carolina the lead just before halftime.

Corbin struck first in first-half stoppage time to send Carolina Ascent into the break with a 1–0 advantage. The second half grew increasingly physical — Alyssa Bourgeois picked up a yellow card for Lexington in the 52nd minute, followed by Carolina's Jenna Butler in the 61st.

Weinert leveled the match in the 72nd minute, pulling Lexington back into a contest that had been trending Carolina's way. Neither side could find a winner through the remaining regulation minutes, sending the match to extra time.

Lexington seized control from there. Steigleder made it 2–1 in the 96th minute, finishing from a Bourgeois delivery — the same Bourgeois who had been booked earlier in the second half. Carolina's frustration showed immediately, with Taylor Porter cautioned just two minutes later. McCain added a third in the 104th minute to put the result beyond doubt. Carolina offered little in response during the closing stages, and Lexington saw out the remaining minutes comfortably despite a late booking for Hannah White.

The comeback victory gives Lexington SC valuable momentum heading into the final stretch of the USL Super League season, turning what looked like a difficult evening into a statement result on home soil.
