Monterey Bay FC came from behind to beat Orange County SC 2–1 on the road Saturday, with Sebastian Lletget pulling the strings in a decisive four-minute spell midway through the second half. Ousmane Sylla had given Orange County an early lead in the fifth minute, but goals from Lletget in the 61st and Zackery Farnsworth in the 65th flipped the match on its head.

Orange County started sharply. Sylla struck just five minutes in to put the hosts ahead, and for the better part of the first half, it looked like that early punch had set the tone. Monterey Bay struggled to find a foothold, with Ryuga Nakamura picking up a yellow card in the 32nd minute. Tom Brewitt was also cautioned for Orange County at the end of the first half as tempers started to simmer.

The second half, though, belonged to Monterey Bay. Lletget equalized in the 61st minute, then turned provider four minutes later, setting up Farnsworth to complete the turnaround. The quick-fire double stunned a home side that had controlled proceedings for much of the opening hour.

Orange County pushed for a response, but the final stretch was scrappy rather than productive. Quinton Elliot was booked for Monterey Bay in the 74th minute, and three more yellows followed in quick succession — Christopher Hegardt for Orange County and Wesley Leggett for Monterey Bay both cautioned in the 80th minute, with Nick Ross booked deep in stoppage time.

The comeback win gives Monterey Bay valuable points on the road and dents Orange County's hopes of climbing the USL Championship standings heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
