Las Vegas Lights FC edged San Antonio FC 1–0 at home on Saturday, with Manuel Arteaga scoring the lone goal deep in first-half stoppage time to secure all three points in USL Championship play.

The opening quarter of an hour saw San Antonio's Nicky Hernandez pick up a yellow card in the 15th minute, an early booking that forced him to tread carefully for the remainder of the match. Neither side could break the deadlock through the bulk of the first half, but Arteaga found the breakthrough in the third minute of first-half added time, giving Las Vegas a 1–0 lead heading into the break. Lucio Berrón was booked for San Antonio shortly after, capping a frustrating end to the half for the visitors.

San Antonio came out needing a response but struggled to find one. Las Vegas were not without their own discipline issues — Nykolas Sessock was cautioned in the 59th minute, and Triston Henry followed him into the book in the 84th. San Antonio's Alex Crognale also picked up a yellow in the 87th minute as the visitors grew increasingly desperate in their search for an equalizer.

Despite a scrappy second half littered with bookings — five yellows were shown across the 90 minutes — neither side could add to the scoresheet. Las Vegas held firm defensively, and San Antonio never managed to seriously threaten an equalizer when it mattered most.

The result gives Las Vegas Lights FC a valuable three points as the regular season enters its final stretch, potentially boosting their positioning in a tight playoff race.
