Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC ground out a 2–0 home victory over Miami FC in USL Championship action on Wednesday night, with Khori Bennett scoring twice late to seal all three points.

The first half was a tight, scrappy affair that produced no goals but plenty of cards. Miami picked up three yellows before the break — Eloy Room and Riyon Tori both cautioned in the 29th minute, followed by Alessandro Milesi ten minutes later. Colorado Springs' Brennan Creek was also booked in the 41st minute as tempers flared on both sides.

The second half continued in a similar vein, with neither team able to find a breakthrough as the clock ticked past the hour mark. Miami's discipline problems persisted — Gerald Díaz saw yellow in the 76th minute, and Gastón Maddoni followed him into the book just a minute later, giving the visitors five cautions for the match.

The deadlock finally broke in the 79th minute. Bennett latched onto a pass from Sam Williams and found the net to put the Switchbacks ahead. With Miami forced to push forward in search of an equalizer, Bennett struck again in the 90th minute, converting from a Sadam Masereka feed to double the lead and put the result beyond doubt.

It was a clinical late showing from Bennett, who punished a Miami side that spent much of the evening accumulating fouls rather than creating chances. The brace gives the Switchbacks a valuable home win that could prove crucial as the second half of the USL Championship season takes shape.
