DC Power FC claimed a 2-0 victory away at Spokane Zephyr FC on Saturday, with second-half goals from Alyssa Walker and Dasia Torbert sealing the three points in USL Super League action.

The first half produced little in the way of goals but carried an edge. Sydney Cummings picked up a yellow card for DC Power in the 41st minute as tensions rose heading into the break, though neither side managed to find the net before halftime.

DC Power came out with intent after the interval. Just a minute into the second half, Walker broke the deadlock, finishing from a Loza Geinore assist to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. It was a quick strike that shifted the entire complexion of the match, putting Spokane on the back foot almost immediately after the restart.

Nine minutes later, Torbert doubled the advantage. Her goal in the 55th minute gave DC Power a comfortable cushion and left Spokane Zephyr with a mountain to climb. The hosts never found a way back into the contest, unable to generate enough to trouble DC Power's defense in the closing stages.

It was a clinical away performance — DC Power needed only ten second-half minutes to put the game beyond reach, then managed the remainder without major alarm. Spokane, meanwhile, will look back at a frustrating afternoon where they failed to register on the scoresheet at home.

The result strengthens DC Power FC's position in the USL Super League standings and adds further pressure on Spokane Zephyr FC to find answers quickly as the season progresses.
