El Paso Locomotive FC came from behind to beat Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC 2–1 at home on Wednesday night, with Noah Dollenmayer striking deep into stoppage time to seal all three points. Robbie Mertz had opened the scoring for Pittsburgh before Eric Calvillo equalized, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.

Pittsburgh drew first blood in the 53rd minute when Mertz converted from a Charles Ahl delivery to give the Riverhounds the lead. The advantage lasted just four minutes. Calvillo pulled El Paso level in the 57th, finishing off a ball from Arturo Ortíz to make it 1–1.

The second half settled into a tense affair after the quick exchange of goals. Pittsburgh's Eliot Goldthorp picked up a yellow card in the 85th minute as the visitors tried to hold on for a point.

They couldn't. In the third minute of stoppage time, Dollenmayer found the winner for El Paso, latching onto a pass from Zyen Jones to send the home crowd into celebration and condemn Pittsburgh to a gut-wrenching defeat.

No red cards were shown, and the match stayed physical but controlled throughout. For Pittsburgh, conceding so late will sting — they had done enough to earn at least a draw and looked comfortable absorbing pressure before Dollenmayer's intervention.

The result keeps El Paso's home form ticking over and could prove significant in what shapes up as a tight race for playoff positioning in the USL Championship's stretch run.
