Las Vegas Lights FC came from behind to beat Lexington SC 2–1 at home on Saturday in the USL Championship, with goals from Johnny Rodriguez and Javain Brown overturning an early deficit after Aaron Molloy had opened the scoring for the visitors.

Lexington struck first. Molloy finished from a Blaine Ferri feed just six minutes in, giving the away side an ideal start. The lead lasted five minutes. Rodriguez equalized in the 11th minute, converting off a Christian Pinzon assist to level the contest at 1–1.

What followed was a fractious spell. Rodriguez picked up a yellow card in the 19th minute — just eight minutes after scoring — and teammate Aarón Guillén was booked in the same minute. Ferri joined them in the referee's notebook three minutes later, and Oalex Anderson was cautioned in the 28th minute. The game was threatening to boil over.

Brown settled the home crowd's nerves before halftime, putting Las Vegas ahead 2–1 in the 38th minute. Lexington's Latif Blessing was booked shortly after, on 41 minutes, as frustration crept in.

The second half failed to produce another goal but did little to calm the disciplinary issues. Charlie Lanphier was cautioned in the 72nd minute for Las Vegas, Xavier Zengue picked one up for Lexington in the 79th, and Marc Ybarra rounded out the card count for the Lights in the 83rd. Eight yellows in total across the 90 minutes — five for the home side, three for the visitors.

The win gives Las Vegas Lights FC valuable home points as the early stretch of the season takes shape.
