El Paso Locomotive FC dismantled Hartford Athletic 4–0 on the road Saturday, with goals from Eric Calvillo (12'), Tony Alfaro (24'), Diego Abitia (32'), and Gabi Torres (64') sealing a comprehensive victory in USL Championship action.

The rout began early. Calvillo opened the scoring in the 12th minute, giving El Paso a lead they would never come close to relinquishing. Hartford barely had time to regroup before Alfaro doubled the advantage in the 24th minute, putting the visitors firmly in control before the half-hour mark.

It got worse for the hosts. Abitia made it 3–0 in the 32nd minute, finishing off a pass from Kofi Twumasi to effectively end the contest as a competitive affair. Abitia picked up a yellow card four minutes later — a minor footnote on an otherwise productive evening for him.

Hartford offered little in response. The second half brought a pair of bookings for El Paso — Gabi Torres in the 54th minute and Arturo Ortíz in the 74th — sandwiched around a yellow for Hartford's Adrian Diz Pe. The cautions hinted at a fractious stretch of play, but El Paso never lost their grip on the match.

Torres, despite his earlier booking, added the fourth goal in the 64th minute to put the final stamp on a dominant away performance. Hartford had no answer at any stage.

The result marks a statement win for El Paso Locomotive FC early in the 2026 campaign, while Hartford Athletic will need to find answers quickly after a heavy home defeat.
