Spokane Zephyr FC cruised to a 3–1 victory over Fort Lauderdale United FC in USL Super League action on Sunday, with goals from Catherine Rapp (26'), Maya Hansen (60'), and Ally Cook (89') sealing the result. Kiara Locklear (64') pulled one back for the visitors but it proved little more than a consolation.

The first half was a relatively quiet affair until Rapp broke the deadlock midway through. Haley Thomas provided the service, and Rapp finished cleanly in the 26th minute to give the Zephyr the lead. Fort Lauderdale had already lost some early momentum when Locklear picked up a yellow card in the 17th minute, and the visitors struggled to create meaningful chances before the break.

Spokane came out with purpose in the second half. Hansen doubled the advantage in the 60th minute to put the hosts in a commanding position. Fort Lauderdale responded quickly, though — Locklear, the player already carrying a booking, pulled one back just four minutes later to make it 2–1 and give her side a lifeline.

That lifeline didn't last long. Spokane managed the game well despite collecting three yellow cards across the match — Emma Jaskaniec, Katie Murray, and Ginger Fontenot all went into the referee's notebook. Any late nerves were extinguished when Cook latched onto a Lena Silano pass and slotted home in the 89th minute, restoring the two-goal cushion and putting the result beyond doubt.

The win keeps Spokane Zephyr FC moving in the right direction as the season enters its latter stages, while Fort Lauderdale will look to regroup after a difficult road trip.
