Loudoun United FC earned a comfortable 2–0 victory over Hartford Athletic in USL Championship action on Saturday, with Abdellatif Aboukoura and Thorleifur Úlfarsson both finding the net. Aboukoura opened the scoring deep in first-half stoppage time before Úlfarsson doubled the lead in the 73rd minute.

Hartford's frustration was evident early. Adrian Diz Pe picked up a yellow card in the 26th minute, and Jordan Scarlett followed him into the referee's notebook before halftime with a booking in the 43rd. Loudoun made the visitors pay just moments later — Aboukoura converted from an Úlfarsson delivery in the third minute of added time to send the hosts into the break with a deserved lead.

The second half offered little relief for Hartford. Brendan Burke was cautioned in the 70th minute, the third yellow card shown to Athletic on the night. Three minutes later, Úlfarsson — who had already set up the opener — got on the scoresheet himself, finishing to make it 2–0 and effectively put the game to bed.

Hartford rarely threatened and managed to collect three bookings without ever truly disrupting Loudoun's rhythm. The home side controlled proceedings, converting their chances when it mattered and keeping a clean sheet for good measure.

The win gives Loudoun United a valuable three points as the USL Championship season pushes deeper into the summer stretch, while Hartford Athletic will need to regroup quickly after a disciplined yet ultimately toothless road performance.
