San Antonio FC held off a late Miami FC push to win 2–1 at home on Wednesday night in USL Championship action, with Cristian Parano scoring both goals and Jorge Hernández providing the assist on each.

The first half was a testy affair. Santiago Suarez picked up a yellow card for San Antonio in the 33rd minute, and Miami's Riyon Tori followed into the book eight minutes later. But the decisive moment before the break belonged to Parano, who found the net in the 44th minute off a feed from Hernández to send San Antonio into halftime with a 1–0 lead.

Miami's frustration grew in the second half. Angelo Calfo was cautioned in the 55th minute, and the visitors struggled to find a foothold. Parano punished them again in the 64th minute, connecting with Hernández for a second time to double the advantage. It was a clinical partnership — two goals, two assists, both built on the same combination.

The visitors refused to go quietly. Joel Soñora and Gerald Díaz were both booked in quick succession as tempers frayed, but Miami channeled that intensity into an attacking response. Arney Rocha pulled one back in the 79th minute, finishing from a Diego Mello pass to cut the deficit to one. Daltyn Knutson earned yet another Miami yellow in the 83rd minute — the fifth for the visitors on the night — as the closing stages turned scrappy.

San Antonio, though, managed the final minutes without serious alarm. The three points keep them moving in the right direction during a congested stretch of the Championship schedule.
