Union Omaha earned a comfortable 2-0 victory on the road against Fort Wayne FC on Saturday, with second-half goals from Allen Gavilanes and Sergio Ors sealing all three points in USL League One action.

The first half produced no goals, and it wasn't until the hour mark that Union Omaha broke the deadlock. Gavilanes found the net in the 61st minute, finishing off a delivery from Younes Boudadi to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Tempers flared shortly after. Blake Malone and Gabriel de Freitas were both cautioned in the 71st minute for Union Omaha, but the bookings did nothing to knock the visitors off their stride. Just three minutes later, Ors doubled the advantage, converting from a Pato Botello Faz assist to put the result beyond doubt.

Fort Wayne's frustration was evident. Tiago Dias picked up a yellow card a minute after Ors's goal, and Michael Rempel followed him into the referee's notebook in the 88th minute as the hosts chased the game without success. Marlon Vargas collected a late booking for Union Omaha deep into stoppage time, but by then the contest was long settled.

Fort Wayne FC struggled to create meaningful opportunities across the 90 minutes, and Union Omaha's clinical finishing in a 13-minute spell midway through the second half proved the difference. Two well-worked goals — both involving sharp combination play — were enough to secure a clean sheet and a confident road win.

The result strengthens Union Omaha's position in the USL League One standings and extends a difficult stretch for Fort Wayne FC, who will need to find answers quickly as the season pushes deeper into the summer months.
