Duluth FC staged a dramatic late comeback to beat Dakota Fusion FC 2–1 in NPSL action on Wednesday, with K. Green's 89th-minute equalizer and a J. Magalhaes own goal in the 90th minute completing a remarkable turnaround after J. Cervantes had put the visitors ahead.

The first 80 minutes produced no goals but plenty of needle. The referee's notebook filled steadily, with N. Porter cautioned in the 22nd minute and A. Warnod following him in the 35th — both Dakota Fusion players. T. Suzuki picked up Duluth's first booking just before halftime. The second half continued in the same vein, with P. Saiz, M. Davidsen, and Magalhaes all seeing yellow before anything happened at the business end of the pitch.

Dakota Fusion finally broke the deadlock in the 82nd minute when Cervantes found the net to give the visitors a deserved-looking lead. The game appeared to be slipping away from Duluth as the clock ticked past the 85th minute.
