Rhode Island FC cruised past Brooklyn FC 4–1 on Friday night, powered by braces from Jojea Kwizera and J.J. Williams. Kwizera struck in the 39th and 72nd minutes, while Williams added two goals in three minutes late on to put the result beyond doubt.

The first half was a scrappy, stop-start affair. Rhode Island picked up early bookings through Hugo Bacharach and Williams before breaking the deadlock six minutes before halftime. Kwizera finished off a pass from Amos Shapiro-Thompson to give the hosts a 1–0 lead heading into the break.

Brooklyn came out with intent after the interval. Christopher Olney Jr. equalized in the 62nd minute to level the score and give the visitors a foothold in the match. It didn't last long. Kwizera restored Rhode Island's advantage ten minutes later, getting on the end of a Clay Holstad delivery to make it 2–1.

From there, the game turned ugly and then lopsided. Rhode Island collected three yellow cards between the 76th and 81st minutes as tempers flared, but it was Williams — already sitting on a first-half booking — who made the decisive impact. He converted from a Nicholas Scardina pass in the 82nd minute, then added his second three minutes later after Noah Fuson teed him up. Four goals in the space of 13 second-half minutes turned a tight contest into a rout.

Tommy McNamara picked up a late yellow for Brooklyn deep in stoppage time as frustrations boiled over.

The emphatic victory gives Rhode Island FC valuable momentum as the USL Championship season pushes toward the midway point.
