Union Omaha romped to a 5–1 victory over Richmond Kickers in USL League One action on Sunday, with Sergio Ors, Aaron Gómez, Sean Vinberg, Diego Gutiérrez, and Allen Gavilanes all finding the net. Matthew Bolduc grabbed a consolation for the visitors.

The hosts took control midway through the first half. Ors opened the scoring in the 28th minute, finishing from a Sami Guediri delivery. Six minutes later, Gómez doubled the lead after Ors turned provider. Vinberg then made it 3–0 in the 38th minute, putting the game firmly out of reach before halftime had even arrived.

The stretch between the 36th and 41st minutes was a fractious spell. Richmond's Owen O'Malley picked up a yellow card, and Union Omaha's Samuel Owusu and Marlon Vargas were both cautioned in quick succession — a sign that tempers were running hot as the Kickers tried to find a way back into the contest.

Richmond did pull one back just before the break. Bolduc converted from a Tyler Freeman assist in the 43rd minute to cut the deficit to 3–1, but any hopes of a second-half comeback never materialized.

Gutiérrez restored the four-goal cushion in the 67th minute, latching onto an Allen Gavilanes pass to make it 4–1. Gavilanes then got on the scoresheet himself deep in stoppage time, rounding off the rout with Union Omaha's fifth.

The comprehensive win underlines Union Omaha's credentials as a serious force in USL League One this season, while Richmond will need to regroup quickly after a difficult afternoon on the road.
