Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC picked up a comfortable 2–0 victory over Miami FC on Friday night, with Albert Dikwa and Charles Ahl finding the net in the second half to seal all three points in USL Championship action.

The first half was a scoreless but chippy affair. Miami's Rodrigo da Costa was booked inside the opening ten minutes, and teammate Alessandro Milesi followed him into the referee's notebook before halftime, picking up a yellow in the 39th minute. Neither side managed to break the deadlock before the break.

Pittsburgh came out with more purpose after the interval. Just four minutes into the second half, Dikwa latched onto a Perrin Barnes delivery and converted to give the Riverhounds a 1–0 lead. The goal settled the hosts, who began to control proceedings with greater confidence.

Miami needed a response but struggled to create meaningful chances. The visitors' frustration mounted, and Riyon Tori was cautioned in the 69th minute — the same minute Pittsburgh's Robbie Mertz also went into the book in what was clearly a heated passage of play.

Any hopes of a Miami comeback were effectively ended in the 73rd minute. Dikwa turned provider this time, setting up Ahl to double Pittsburgh's advantage. It was a well-constructed move that put the result beyond doubt with less than twenty minutes remaining.

Miami offered little threat in the closing stages as Pittsburgh saw out the win without any real concern.

The result strengthens the Riverhounds' position in the USL Championship standings as the season approaches the midway point, while Miami FC's road struggles continue.
