Brooklyn FC dismantled Tampa Bay Sun FC 3-0 on the road Wednesday night, with goals from Rebecca Cooke, Catherine Zimmerman, and Hope Breslin sealing a comprehensive USL Super League victory.

The visitors wasted no time taking control. Cooke opened the scoring in just the sixth minute, finishing from a Samantha Kroeger delivery to put Brooklyn ahead early. Tampa Bay struggled to find a foothold after conceding, and frustration crept in — Sandrine Mauron was booked in the 34th minute as the hosts chased the ball.

Brooklyn doubled their lead right before halftime. Zimmerman struck in first-half stoppage time, converting from a Mylena Santos pass to make it 2-0 heading into the break. Any hopes of a Tampa Bay comeback were effectively killed off.

The second half followed the same script. Breslin made it three in the 56th minute, with Cooke — the opening goalscorer — turning provider this time. It was a clinical team display from Brooklyn, whose attackers combined ruthlessly throughout.

Tampa Bay's evening went from bad to worse when Jordyn Listro picked up a yellow card in the 64th minute. Brooklyn's Santos and Jordan Thompson were also cautioned later in the half, but by then the result was well beyond doubt.

Brooklyn controlled possession and territory for large stretches, rarely allowing Tampa Bay any route back into the contest. The Sun FC managed little of note going forward across 90 minutes.

The result strengthens Brooklyn FC's position in the USL Super League standings and extends a difficult spell for Tampa Bay, who will need to respond quickly.
