Sarasota Paradise came from behind to beat New York Cosmos 2–1 in USL League One action on Saturday, with goals from Matthew Bolduc in the 68th minute and Anderson Rosa in the 78th completing the turnaround after Philip Spengler had given the visitors the lead early in the second half.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of needle. Spengler was booked in the 13th minute, followed by Sarasota's Reid Valentine in the 22nd. Davide Galazzini picked up a yellow for the Cosmos just before the break, setting an irritable tone that carried into the second period.

New York struck first five minutes after the restart. Spengler, already walking a disciplinary tightrope on his earlier booking, finished from a Nick Zielonka delivery to put the Cosmos ahead. It was a calculated gamble that paid off — the forward stayed aggressive despite the yellow card hanging over him.

Sarasota needed a response, and it came through a pair of players who linked up decisively. Bolduc equalized in the 68th minute, converting from an Anderson Rosa assist to level the match at 1–1. Ten minutes later, Rosa grabbed one for himself, firing home to put the hosts ahead for the first time.

The cards kept coming. Sebastián Guenzatti was cautioned in the 57th minute, Declan Watters in the 62nd, Rockson Amedeka in the 84th, and Sergio Chavez in stoppage time — seven yellows across the 90 minutes in a match the referee struggled to keep a lid on. Neither side, however, crossed the line into a sending-off.

The victory gives Sarasota Paradise valuable points at home as the season pushes deeper into the summer stretch.
