Dallas Trinity FC came from behind — or rather, never trailed — in a 2–1 win at Fort Lauderdale United FC on Friday night, with goals from Felicia Knox and Jasmine Hamid securing all three points on the road. Sh'Nia Gordon pulled one back for the hosts, but it wasn't enough.

Trinity took the lead in the 32nd minute when Knox finished from a Sophie Braun delivery to make it 1–0. Fort Lauderdale struggled to find a response before the break, and things got worse almost immediately after it. Hamid struck just seconds into the second half, scoring in the 46th minute to double Dallas's advantage and give the visitors a commanding cushion.

Fort Lauderdale needed a reaction, and they got one midway through the second half. Gordon cut the deficit to one in the 59th minute, converting from a Kiara Locklear assist to make it 2–1 and inject life back into the contest. The home side pushed for an equalizer in the final 30 minutes, but Dallas held firm.

Hamid, who had been instrumental in building the two-goal lead, picked up a yellow card in the 79th minute — a sign of the gritty defending Dallas committed to as Fort Lauderdale pressed. It didn't matter. Trinity saw the game out comfortably enough.

The result marks a valuable three points on the road for Dallas Trinity FC in USL Super League play, and a frustrating night for Fort Lauderdale, who will feel the early second-half goal knocked the wind out of their comeback before it could begin.
