Alexandria Reds romped to a 5–2 victory over FC Frederick in NPSL action on July 1, with A. Zarate leading the way with a brace. D. Good, J. Rodriguez, and C. Waller also found the net for the hosts, while N. Paschalides and C. Woobay replied for Frederick.

The Reds took early control. Zarate opened the scoring in the 24th minute, and Good doubled the lead in the 37th, giving Alexandria a comfortable cushion before the break. J. Ndrenika picked up a yellow card a minute later, and F. Kone was booked for Frederick just before halftime as tempers flicked up heading into the interval.

The second half opened at a frantic pace. Rodriguez made it 3–0 just five minutes after the restart, but Frederick responded almost immediately — Paschalides pulled one back in the 51st minute to give the visitors a lifeline. T. Aikens was cautioned for Alexandria in the 54th minute as Frederick pressed for more.

That pressure paid off in the 57th minute, but only briefly. Zarate extinguished any comeback hopes with his second of the match, restoring the three-goal cushion. Woobay cut the deficit to 4–2 in the 67th minute, and Z. Parker's yellow card in the 72nd minute summed up Frederick's growing frustration. Waller sealed the result in the 78th minute, completing a dominant display for the Reds.

The convincing win keeps Alexandria Reds firmly in contention in the NPSL standings as the season moves into its mid-summer stretch.
