Forward Madison FC earned a comfortable 0–2 victory away at Corpus Christi FC on Saturday, with second-half goals from Claudel Ngoubou and Ryan Carmichael settling the contest inside seven minutes.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of needle. Forward Madison's Roman Torres was booked inside the opening minute, and teammate Aaron Edwards followed him into the referee's notebook in the 23rd. Corpus Christi's Andrew Booth picked up a caution of his own shortly after the break, in the 53rd minute, as both sides struggled to keep their discipline in check.

The deadlock broke in the 61st minute when Ngoubou found the net to put Forward Madison ahead. What followed was a rapid unraveling for the hosts. Emmanuel Johnson was cautioned in the 64th minute, Jack Keaney joined him two minutes later, and sandwiched between the bookings, Carmichael doubled the visitors' lead in the 67th minute to make it 2–0.

Corpus Christi never mounted a serious response. Forward Madison's Maouloane Goumballe was yellow-carded in the 80th minute, and the hosts' frustration boiled over deep into stoppage time with Jake Keegan and Shannon Gomez both picking up late bookings. Eight yellow cards were shown in total — five to Corpus Christi — in a match that grew increasingly ragged after the opening goal.

The win strengthens Forward Madison's position in the USL League One standings, while Corpus Christi will need to find answers quickly after a defeat in which discipline deserted them at the worst possible time.
