Corpus Christi FC staged a remarkable stoppage-time comeback to beat Portland Hearts of Pine 3–2 at home on Wednesday night in USL League One action. Blake Bowen, Hunter Morse, and Sam Roscoe-Byrne all scored for Corpus Christi, while Brecc Evans and Jay Tee Kamara found the net for Portland.

Portland struck first. Evans broke the deadlock right at the stroke of halftime in first-half stoppage time, sending the visitors into the break with a 1–0 lead. The first half had already turned fractious, with Bowen and Kemali Green picking up early yellows.

The second half was no cleaner. Nacho Abeal was booked two minutes after the restart, but the Corpus Christi midfielder made an immediate impact going forward — his pass set up Bowen to equalize in the 52nd minute. The referee stayed busy, cautioning Jake Keegan and Jack Keaney as Corpus Christi racked up bookings at an alarming rate. Six home players saw yellow on the night.

Portland looked to have stolen it late when Kamara finished from an Ollie Wright delivery in the 85th minute to restore the visitors' lead. Arthur Medina was booked in the 90th minute as frustration boiled over for the hosts.

Then the game turned on its head. Morse leveled in the fifth minute of stoppage time, and three minutes later Roscoe-Byrne completed the turnaround, converting from a Bowen assist to seal a 3–2 victory deep into added time.

The dramatic win gives Corpus Christi three crucial points at home and underlines a resilience that could prove decisive as the League One season grinds on.
