DC Power FC came from behind the pace of play to claim a 2–1 victory at Lexington SC on Saturday, with goals from Loza Geinore and Emily Colton proving enough despite a late consolation from Mac Midgley in stoppage time.

The first half was goalless through the opening 45 minutes, but Geinore broke the deadlock right at the end of the period, striking in first-half stoppage time to send DC Power into the break with a 1–0 lead. The forward picked up a yellow card shortly after the restart, in the 48th minute.

DC Power doubled their advantage midway through the second half through Colton, who finished in the 67th minute — just three minutes after being cautioned herself. It was a composed response from a player who could easily have let the booking get to her head.

Samantha Cary also went into the referee's notebook in the 76th minute, meaning DC Power accumulated three yellow cards on the night. The visitors were playing with fire disciplinarily, but it never cost them.

Lexington refused to go quietly. Midgley pulled one back deep into added time in the 90th plus fourth minute, converting from a Hannah White delivery to make it 2–1. It was too little, too late, though, as DC Power saw out the remaining seconds to secure all three points on the road.

The win gives DC Power FC valuable momentum in the USL Super League season, while Lexington SC will be left to reflect on a slow start that left them chasing the game from the final moments of the first half onward.
