New Mexico United came from behind to beat Lexington SC 2–1 on Wednesday night, with second-half goals from Kipp Keller and Niall Reid-Stephen completing the turnaround after Marqes Muir had given the visitors the lead.

The first half produced few fireworks on the scoreboard. Bookings for Lexington's Oliver Semmle in the 10th minute and New Mexico's Greg Hurst in the 29th set a physical tone, but neither side could find a breakthrough before the break.

Lexington struck first six minutes into the second half. Muir made it 1–0 in the 51st minute, and the visitors looked comfortable as New Mexico's frustration mounted. Yellow cards for Zico Bailey and Tyler Blackett in the space of five minutes underlined the hosts' growing agitation.

New Mexico found their response through an unlikely source. Hurst, already walking a disciplinary tightrope after his first-half booking, delivered the cross that Keller converted in the 73rd minute to level the score. Five minutes later, Reid-Stephen completed the comeback, finishing from a Dayonn Harris feed to make it 2–1.

Lexington pushed for an equalizer but couldn't find one. Patrick Seagrist picked up a booking in the 82nd minute as the match grew increasingly scrappy, and New Mexico saw out the remaining minutes without serious alarm.

The victory keeps New Mexico United's momentum alive in the USL Championship, while Lexington SC will rue conceding twice in five minutes after holding the lead deep into the second half.
