Spokane Velocity FC held off Greenville Triumph SC for a 2–1 victory at home on Saturday in USL League One action, building a two-goal cushion in the first half before surviving a second-half response from the visitors.

Zane Bubb opened the scoring in the 27th minute to give Spokane the lead. Three minutes later, Lucky Onyebuchi Opara doubled the advantage, finishing from a Derek Waldeck delivery to make it 2–0. The quick-fire combination stunned Greenville, who struggled to find any rhythm in the opening 45 minutes. Patrick Seagrist picked up a yellow card in the 34th minute as the visitors' frustrations boiled over before halftime.

Greenville came out with more urgency after the break. Anthony Patti pulled one back in the 55th minute, converting from a Seagrist assist to cut the deficit in half. The goal injected life into the Triumph's performance and put Spokane on the back foot for stretches of the second half.

The hosts dug in defensively as the match wore on, though it came at a cost. Ibrahim Janis Covi was booked in the 73rd minute, followed by Sean Lewis eight minutes later, as Spokane committed fouls to slow Greenville's momentum. The tension carried deep into stoppage time, where Andre Lewis and Camron Miller both received yellow cards as Velocity saw out the final minutes.

Despite the late pressure, Spokane managed the game well enough to claim all three points — a result that bolsters their positioning in the League One standings as the season enters its final stretch.
