Rhode Island FC and Louisville City FC played out a 1–1 draw in USL Championship action on Saturday, with Sean Totsch opening the scoring for the visitors before Stas Kornzeniowski equalized early in the second half.

Louisville struck first in the 18th minute when Totsch found the net to give his side the lead heading into the break. Rhode Island had no immediate answer, and Louisville City took their one-goal advantage into halftime looking comfortable.

That changed quickly after the restart. Kornzeniowski leveled the match in the 48th minute, finishing from a Jojea Kwizera assist to make it 1–1. The goal sparked a feisty stretch of play. Louisville's Aiden McFadden was booked in the 50th minute, and teammate Quenzi Huerman followed him into the referee's notebook just a minute later. Totsch, the goalscorer, picked up a yellow of his own in the 63rd minute, while Rhode Island's Khano Smith was cautioned at the 66-minute mark.

The second half saw six yellow cards in total across both sides, with Kwizera and Louisville's Evan Davila each collecting bookings deep into stoppage time as tempers continued to flare. Despite the increasingly scrappy nature of the contest, neither team could find a winner.

The point apiece does little to dramatically alter the picture for either club, though Louisville City FC will likely feel the greater frustration after surrendering their first-half lead just three minutes into the second period.
