Sarasota Paradise earned a 2–1 victory on the road against New York Cosmos in USL League One action on Wednesday, with goals from Brendan Krueger (51') and Anderson Rosa (77') proving enough to hold off a late Cosmos response through Lamin Jawneh (83').

The first half was a scrappy, goalless affair defined more by the referee's notebook than anything creative. Aaron Walker picked up an early booking for Sarasota in the 14th minute, teammate Jonathan Bolanos followed in the 33rd, and Cosmos midfielder Sergio Chavez was cautioned six minutes later. Neither side could find a breakthrough before the break.

Sarasota came out sharper after halftime. Krueger opened the scoring in the 51st minute, finishing from an Anderson Rosa feed to give Paradise the lead. The visitors stayed patient and doubled their advantage midway through the second half when Rosa got on the scoresheet himself in the 77th minute, converting after good work from Ethan Bryant.

The Cosmos, to their credit, didn't fold. Jawneh pulled one back in the 83rd minute off a Darren Sidoel assist, injecting some urgency into the final stretch. New York pushed for an equalizer, though frustration crept in — Frankie Ljucovic was booked in the 89th minute as challenges grew increasingly desperate. Bryant received a late yellow of his own deep in stoppage time as Sarasota saw out the result.

The win gives Sarasota Paradise a valuable three points on the road and could prove significant in what is shaping up to be a tight race in the League One standings as the season enters its final months.
